Family Enrichment IntensiveClergy, Missionary and all Christian Leadership Families deserve special support. With that support, a healthy balance in marriage, family and church life can be achieved.

QuietWaters desires to provide that support with our Family Enrichment Intensive.  This one or two week family therapy experience helps families stand together to face the inevitable dangers, toils, and snares of ministry.

Our experience supported by research in marriage and family counseling has taught us that when clergy and missionary couples are addressing stressful issues it is best to do so without their children present.

To combine that important consideration while addressing the whole family and the children, QuietWaters has put in place a comprehensive program combining the Leadership Counseling Intensive with the Family Enrichment Intensive.  The program begins with the couple participating in a one or two week Leadership Counseling Intensive.  Upon successfully completing the Leadership Counseling Intensive with demonstrated transformational change they are then qualified to schedule the Family Enrichment Intensive.

The individually tailored context helps the entire family to confront their specific challenges and transitions in a safe, confidential, and engaging setting. Counseling is facilitated by a licensed, professional family therapist with an extensive background in addressing the types of issues clergy, missionary and Christian leadership families will face across their entire family life cycle.

The demands of ministry naturally compete with the focus on family. The health of the marriage and family can be threatened without the enrichment and encouragement desperately needed in environments where poor self care and family negligence compromise family relationships. The need to enrich leadership families underscores the fact that the overall health of the family dramatically affects the ministry as a whole.

In the Family Enrichment Intensive, all family members are supported as they seek to improve communication, resolve conflict, reprioritize their goals and work through the normal grief which ministry creates in their day to day lives.

The Family Therapy Model provides attention to the entire family system. Sessions are designed that enrich the whole family through guided discussions, skill building and experiential exercises aimed to strengthen their relationships.

Sessions are designed specifically for children and teenagers to address the unique needs they bring to the Intensive process.
